Brain/Head&Neck treatments

On the Combi Board you will find facilities for Head/Neck immobilization – tools built into the board itself. The Contesse is designed to supply you with excellent immobilization facilities as well as 360 degrees free access to the head. The Combi-Board has a large (470 mm) very thin overhang. You can treat the patient down to the lymphnodes of supraclavia region. With 6 MV photons we measure 1% absorption only. The thin overhang of the Combi Board has been tested up to 250 Kg without breaking. However, we do recommend that you do not exceed 60 Kg on the thin overhang of the Combi Board. As the Combi Board can be angled you will be able to tilt the patient without bending the neck. A facility which is very helpful to patients suffering from difficult breathing or problems with mucus.
